We believe that whether you’re running your first 5k or looking to qualify for the Olympic trials, individualization of training is necessary, because there is no single training approach that will work for everyone. Our coaching, consulting, and seminars are based on evidence and scientific based materials such as peer reviewed scientific journals and papers, not the latest training book found at the local book store. When an athlete asks about a particular training method, we aspire to educate them and show them the list of journals that the methods were pulled from. You can be assured that the coaching you receive is reality and not theories or marketing based buzzwords.

Well known sport scientist Andrew Coggan said it best "Coaching is not a science, but should be based off of scientific principles."

Individualized Coaching for Triathletes, Duathletes, Runners, and Cyclists
Our Individualized Coaching Package is a full-service arrangement, and is our most popular program. The Individualized Package includes unlimited coach/client contact by both e-mail and telephone, a service rarely offered by competitor services. This package allows our coaches the ability to customize your program more fully. It is most appropriate for athletes who have very specific goals and are willing to work hard in the pursuit of those goals, or anyone who is interested in achieving his or her maximum possible performance status.

Advanced Individualized Coaching for Triathletes, Duathletes, Runners, and Cyclists
This program is designed for the athlete who requires more one on one time and individual attention from Head Coach Jason Kilderry. It includes everything seen in the Individualized Coaching Package with supervised workouts, evaluations, and in person time. It is most appropriate for middle and front of the pack athletes who have very specific goals and are willing to work hard in the pursuit of those goals or anyone who is interested in achieving his or her maximum possible performance status.

One Time Training Plan Construction Coaching for Triathletes, Duathletes, Runners, and Cyclists
At ETA Coach we have always focused on offering individualized coaching on a week-to-week basis. What we have found is that not all athletes need or want to pursue individualized coaching. We have been hesitant in the past to offer "one time" training plans, because we wanted to maintain our very personal approach. With that said, we have found a way to offer one time plan athletes as much personal and individualized attention to ensure a structured, systematic program tailored to their specific needs. Therefore, ETA Coach has decided to offer one time training plans for athletes, with more attention to detail than most one time online plans that are offered. As always, our goal is to make each athlete’s plan as specific, systematic, and individualized as possible. Just like the beginning process of our individualized coaching and unlike many plans offered online; before each plan’s construction is done, a complete assessment of the athletes training logs, race results, time availability, short, and long-term goals will be assessed.

Athlete Assessment and Exercise Prescription for Runners, Cyclists, and Swimmers
The athlete assessment and exercise prescription evaluation is designed to allow Head Coach Jason Kilderry to become more familiar with the athletes muscoskeletal make up and teach them proper warm ups, cool downs, and technique, if necessary, in swimming, cycling, and running. After each assessment there will specific stability, mobility, drill, plyometric and movement pattern exercises that will be prescribed. These exercises will aid in injury prevention, improving recovery, and overall health.

Technique Evaluation for Swimmers
Swimmers looking to improve the efficiency of their stroke for open water swimming and triathlon will learn how to swim the freestyle with proper kick, arm movement, breathing pattern, and timing. The emphasis will be on learning the most effective drills to improve freestyle for open water and triathlon swim, as additional yardage completed with incorrect form does not improve performance! There will be an emphasis on drill work so fins are required for all evaluations.

Technique Evaluation for Cyclists and Runners
ETA Coach has always felt that if a certain training method is not supported by science then why pursue it? When it comes to technique in cycling and running the implied impression in current periodical articles, books, and online resources is that we are doing it all wrong! Here at ETA Coach we are not firm believers that there is an ideal technique for both running and cycling. We do believe that there are certain times that technique should be looked at and in rare cases can be slightly alerted, by professionals, in a lab, that have backgrounds in sport medicine and biomechanics. Most of the time when an athlete looks to improve his or her technique in cycling and running it’s to prevent injury or improve performance. We know first hand through science that there is no ideal cycling or running technique that will improve performance. Maybe in the future there will be studies to disprove this, but right now there are none! There have been some studies to show that altering running form can offset chronic injuries, but I must reiterate the fact these studies were done in a lab with athletes that had chronic injuries.
