Kyle Anderson

Coach Kyle Anderson

Kyle started at ETA Coach as an intern in the summer of 2014. Since then, he graduated from Montclair State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He is also a certified personal trainer (ACSM) and certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA). Kyle’s passion is understanding how the body reacts and adapts to exercise and teaching his clients how to train more effectively. Although he has trained athletes from a wide range of sports, his biggest training interest is how strength training can be implemented to improve the performance of endurance athletes.

Kyle became passionate about athletics from a very young age but admits that he was a very weak and non-athletic child. Despite this, he began playing baseball from the age of 4 and became a very good player by relying heavily on technique rather than athletic ability. In high school, Kyle turned his attention to mixed martial arts with the same strategy and quickly realized that the best technique in the world is useless if you are not athletic enough to execute the technique. From that moment on, he became insatiably curious about the human body and how to improve athletic performance.

Kyle took his passion for training and fighting to college, where he studied Exercise Science and started a martial arts club. During college, however, his interests changed again, and he began training for and competing in marathons and triathlons which led him to intern for Coach Kilderry in the summer of 2014. Now, Kyle spends most of his free time hiking, backpacking, and being outdoors as much as possible!
